These are some of the questions we have had since we began our project last September.

We bet a lot of you have the same questions!

Our NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY EVENING AT 6PM ON FEBRUARY 6TH AT THE GOODALL LIBRARY IN SANFORD.

We hope to see lots and lots of people there!
Please join us and pass the word!  Let's get our questions answered by working together.

This photo features a bulletin board in our classroom.  The red posters show the language standards or target learning we are working on with our service learning dog park project.  The yellow cards tell about different activities we have been working on that belong to each learning target.  Each of the students is assigned a colorful 'dot'.  Everyone tries to post as many of their colored dots as possible which means they are participating in different activities! So when you look at the board, you can see we 7th and 8th graders have been busy doing lots of important learning we need so we can graduate in 2017 and 2018!!!!!

M.L. and J.K.  show their excitement this morning over hearing the news that the adults in town have formed a Sanford Dog Committee to support their project.  The SJHS students have plenty of energy to help create a safe place for dogs to run off leash.

Braving frigid temperatures last night, 10 town residents met Mrs. Lacroix at Goodall Library to organize a Sanford Dog Park Committee!  What a terrific turnout! Couldn't make this meeting last night?   Everyone can be a member of our dog park committee whether or not they were able to attend yesterday's gathering.  All those interested in helping organize a Sanford off leash dog area are welcome to join whenever and as often as they can!
One of the important outcomes of last night’s meeting?   A committee chairwoman, a secretary, and a treasurer were appointed to guide the project.  They will work together with the SJHS students.  The students today were absolutely thrilled to learn that the adults in the community want the park as much as they do!  Look forward to hearing more exciting news about a possible land location as we navigate our new city government!  Please visit and LIKE the Facebook page our chairwoman, Lauren Adomaitis, has created!  Search for Sanford Maine Dog Park on Facebook today!
